Bae Game
Bae Game
A chaotic competitive multiplayer take on everyone's favorite watermelon game. CHAOS REIGNS!
Premise
Imagine Suika Game, but you're in a lobby with anywhere from 1 to 99 other Fruit Gamers.
Every time you
- create a fruit at Pineapple (7/10) or above, or
- combine 3 or more fruits in a row,
For every combination at and above these thresholds, you create a fruit at (or at the nearest available space, if inside) that position on every other board. The player with the highest score at the end of the round wins -- if a player died, their score is multiplied by (0.75x -- tbd).
Let the chaos begin, and may the last Fruit Gamer standing win.
Todo
- Leaderboard
- Split gameplay core into server<>client logic for match-based multiplayer
- Allow players to host lobbies >:D
Notes
- This is and remains my Godot 4 warm-up project. Input is welcome!
- The game currently isn't match-based or local multiplayer yet -- that is coming >:D

Great take on Suika Game!!! I had a lot of fun. Is the game still being developed
Thank you! The multiplayer component is not being developed right now, as I have to run HoloJam + am focused on larger game projects (notably Holospark). I would like to finish the 1v1 duel mechanic I set out to build, so you'll see a blog post update come from this page when that eventually happens. Hope that makes sense! ๐โโ๏ธ
Didn't try the multiplayer mode, but had a fun time trying single player mode. Got 3 Sanas in total (the first 2 merged into the void lol).
Nice work!
ahh thank you! yeah I deliberately made it so that Sanas merging give dummy big points and disappear >:D
it's been on a bit of a pause since I've been so busy, but the multiplayer component is still being built! I'm hoping to implement a different backend for my end target (nakama gets stupid expensive and locks basic things like backend clustering behind that wall), so I can prototype that head-to-head mode soon ๐โโ๏ธ
Never played the Suika Game yet but I had a lot of fun with this! I blinked and I realized I was playing for an hour(and took me a little too long to realize the pattern ahah) I'm excited for the finished product!! also the dancing irys is so cute!!!
thank you ^^ -- next item on the agenda is getting a head-to-head multiplayer mode implemented >:D (almost there, I've got the server logic mostly down), so stay tuned!
